azonOnto:description "The aim of this paper is to investigate how advanced knowledge and technology can be used in purpose to create a living environment for the human and to establish conditions in which people could live in harmony with nature without sacrificing high standards of the user comfort.\\nThe author of the paper presents and discusses some of the most up-to-date architectural concepts that promote creating the building as a hybrid of technology and nature. This topic is analyzed on the examples of two already existing edifices, both situated in Milan and put into operation in the same period (2014-2015). The chosen buildings are breathe.austria - the Austrian Pavilion on EXPO Milan 2015 designed by team.breathe.austria under the direction of Klaus Loenhart and the Vertical Forest created by Boeri Studio. These two structures were selected mainly because of distinctive and meaningful involvement of green plants into architectural environment. \\nThe research is focused on such problems as pre-defining local bioclimatic and cultural determinants, responsiveness of the architecture to the internal and external conditions, harmonizing the new building with the existing ecosystem, application of sustainable technologies, passive and active environmental strategies, methods of establishing high level of human comfort and finally the possibility of duplication of applied solutions. \\nIn the conclusion of the research the author answers the question if it is possible to use already available tools and knowledge to solve the long lasting conflicts: technology vs nature or human comfort vs environmental safety."@en ;
